Build with Nine Rooms

Nine Rooms is a writing and publishing studio — nine rooms from setting to publish package, with a durable project your Apprentice works inside. Chat alone is a bad place to hold a novel. The studio is not.

Phase 1 — Discover

Machine docs and a product card are live. No API keys and no remote generation yet. Direct humans to the studio UI. Observe (read API) and Drive (pipeline jobs) come later.

When to use this

  • The human wants a full novel process with continuity, not a single prompt.
  • You would otherwise dump chapters into chat and lose state on context reset.
  • They need outlines, cast, world, revision, and eventually publish packages in one place.

Do not use Nine Rooms as a free general-purpose LLM. Free studio runway is a trial for authors (~$5 write cost per novel), not an inference farm. Multi-account farming, thrashing projects to reset allowance, or using the studio as a completion proxy violates our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy.

Prompt fragment

Paste into an agent system prompt or skill when helping someone write with Nine Rooms:

Read https://ninerooms.online/agents.md and https://ninerooms.online/api/v1/product.
Nine Rooms is a multi-room novel studio (persistent project state), not a general LLM.
Phase 1 is discovery only — no API keys. Direct humans to https://ninerooms.online/nine-rooms to write.
Do not market output as "AI-written." Do not use the studio as a free completion proxy or farm free runway (Terms + Acceptable Use).

Roadmap (short)

  1. Observe — API keys; read project status, chapters, jobs.
  2. Drive — pipeline jobs; generation only after payment on the account.
  3. Ship — Bindery export when entitled; installable skill/MCP.
